Our tandem bicycle trip in awesome Aussie began in rugged Queensland and down the eastern coast of New South Wales, where the many bridgeless rivers and estuaries require crossing by tow-ferry:

Arriving in Sydney Harbour for three weeks of Olympic immersion, we particularly enjoyed events such as equestrian cross-country, beach volleyball (near our tiny apartment in Bondi Beach), ping pong, and Aussie crowd-watching:

After the closing ceremonies, we pushed on by bike via south coastal roads through national park wildlife sanctuaries; past farming hamlets, county fairs, and vineyards; and through the Snowy River Valley to Melbourne, the final destination of our 1500-mile tandem tour:
