Near Australia's Gold Coast on an unusually calm day,
Alan and I employ our very different fishing styles -- neither of which
has been the least bit successful. We would welcome any tips.

Near Cairnes at Low Isles on the Great Barrier Reef,
great crew from home (Dad, Fran, Julie and Robert) help Alan feed two huge
butterfly fish and more suckerfish than I hoped there were sharks to
attach to. And yes, to go see the Daintree Rainforest we all six got
into that car!

Among many wildlife encounters are these two -- one from a distance with a
croc on our Daintree Rainforest tour, the other up close and personal when
Alan coaxed two wild lorakeets into the cockpit on Hamilton Island.

|
The Whitsunday Islands were a welcome series of ports in
our southward Australian odyssey. Our good friend Lyn (from Strega)
shows Alan the view from atop Mt. Whitsunday.
